A flavorful and easy Bang Bang Chicken Bake featuring tender, juicy chicken breasts coated in a creamy, spicy sauce made with mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey, baked to perfection and garnished with fresh green onions.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Sauce

  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.33 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Garnish

  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish to prevent sticking and prepare for baking the chicken.
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until the mixture is completely smooth and well combined.
  3. Coat the chicken: Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts evenly in the greased baking dish. Pour the prepared sauce evenly over each piece, making sure all chicken breasts are fully coated with the sauce.
  4. Bake the chicken: Place the baking dish uncovered in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the sauce is bubbling and slightly caramelized.
  5. Garnish and rest: Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the chopped green onions over the top. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute and flavors to meld.

Notes

  • Make sure to check the chicken’s internal temperature to ensure it is fully cooked and safe to eat.
  • You can adjust the spiciness by varying the amount of sriracha.
  • Serve this dish with steamed rice or a simple side salad for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Use fresh green onions for the best flavor and presentation.
