Ingredients

Liquid Base

  • 1 cup Almond milk

Fruit and Vegetables

  • 2 cups blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup fresh spinach

Additional Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup dairy-free yogurt (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Agave syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add Ingredients to Blender: Place the frozen blueberries into a high-powered blender first, followed by the almond milk, fresh spinach, flaxseed meal, ground cinnamon, dairy-free yogurt (if using), and agave syrup (if using).
  2. Blend Until Smooth: Blend all the ingredients on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Pause and scrape down the sides if necessary to ensure even blending.
  3. Adjust Consistency: Check the smoothie’s thickness and add more almond milk or ice cubes in tablespoon increments to reach your preferred consistency. Blend again briefly after additions.
  4. Serve: Pour the smoothie into prepared glasses. Optionally garnish with a fresh spinach leaf for presentation. Insert a straw and enjoy immediately for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Use frozen blueberries to achieve a chilled smoothie without needing to add ice.
  • Dairy-free yogurt and agave syrup are optional; omit or substitute as desired for sweetness or creaminess.
  • Flaxseed meal adds fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, boosting the smoothie’s health benefits.
  • Spinach provides iron and vitamins but has a mild flavor that blends well without overpowering the fruit.
  • This smoothie is best consumed fresh to enjoy maximum nutritional value and taste.
