These Easy Oreo Balls are a decadent, no-bake treat that combines crushed Oreo cookies with cream cheese, coated in a smooth layer of melted chocolate. Perfect for parties, holidays, or any time you want a quick and delicious dessert without baking.

Ingredients

Base

  • 36 regular Oreo cookies
  • 1 (8-ounce) package brick-style cream cheese, softened

Chocolate Coating

  • 16 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • 16 ounces milk chocolate
  • 16 ounces white chocolate

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Process 36 regular Oreo cookies until they are reduced to fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  2. Mix with cream cheese: Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a medium mixing bowl. Add the softened 8-ounce package of brick-style cream cheese to the bowl. Mix thoroughly with a spoon or spatula until no dry pockets of cookie crumbs are visible and the mixture forms a cohesive, dough-like consistency.
  3. Form Oreo balls: Scoop about one tablespoon of the mixture at a time and roll it between your palms to form a compact ball, about 1 inch in diameter. Place each ball onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or wax paper. Continue until all mixture is shaped. You should have 36 to 40 Oreo Balls.
  4. Chill the balls: Place the baking sheet with the Oreo Balls into the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up. This chilling step is vital for easy dipping.
  5. Melt the chocolate: Melt 16 ounces of your chosen chocolate (semi-sweet, milk, or white) using a double boiler or in the microwave on 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Let the chocolate cool slightly.
  6. Dip the Oreo balls: Dip each chilled Oreo Ball into the melted chocolate, using a fork or toothpick to coat completely. Lift, let excess drip, and gently tap on the side of the bowl to remove. Place back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat for all balls. Optional: drizzle contrasting chocolate or add sprinkles while wet.
  7. Set the chocolate: Allow the chocolate to set completely. For a quicker set, place the baking sheet back into the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, or until hardened.

Notes

  • Ensure cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Chilling the balls before dipping prevents them from falling apart in the chocolate.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking when chocolate hardens.
  • Mix and match chocolate coatings to create fun variations.
  • Store Oreo Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
