Refreshing Mango Iced Tea combines robust black tea with sweet, ripe mango puree, enhanced with honey and served chilled over ice. This delightful beverage is perfect for hot days or anytime you crave a fruity twist on classic iced tea.

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 2 Black Tea Bags (or 2 tsp loose leaf tea)
  • 2 cups Water (for steeping)
  • Ice (as needed for serving)

Mango Puree

  • 1 Ripe Mango (or frozen mango cubes), diced
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tbsp Honey

Instructions

  1. Steep the Tea: Boil 2 cups of water, pour into a large pitcher, and add the black tea bags. Let the tea steep for about 10 minutes to fully extract the flavor.
  2. Prepare Mango Puree: In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and diced mango. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes while mashing the mango to create a smooth puree.
  3. Combine and Sweeten: Strain the mango mixture into the pitcher with the steeped tea, removing any solids. Add 2 tablespoons of honey and stir well to dissolve and blend the flavors.
  4. Chill and Serve: Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold. Serve over ice with optional mango slices for garnish.

Notes

  • You can adjust the honey quantity to your preferred sweetness level.
  • For a stronger tea flavor, steep the tea bags longer or use more tea leaves.
  • Frozen mango cubes can be used if fresh mango is unavailable.
  • Straining helps achieve a smoother texture without fibrous bits.
  • Serve immediately after chilling for the best refreshing experience.
