A refreshing Strawberry Yakult Tea Refresher combining fragrant jasmine green tea, tangy Yakult probiotic drink, and a homemade sweet strawberry sauce. Perfect for a cool, delicious beverage on warm days.

Ingredients

Tea

  • 1 cup Jasmine green tea, steeped
  • 2 bottles Yakult

Strawberry Sauce

  • 1 cup strawberries, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Steep the Tea: Steep the jasmine green tea bag in water heated to 185°F for 3-4 minutes to extract the delicate flavors. Remove the tea bag and chill the tea in the refrigerator until cool to prepare the base for the refresher.
  2. Prepare Strawberry Sauce: Wash and roughly chop the strawberries. In a small saucepan, combine the strawberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium-low heat until the mixture starts to simmer. Reduce heat and simmer gently, stirring continuously with a rubber spatula to prevent burning and to mash the strawberries. Cook for approximately 15-25 minutes or until the mixture becomes a smooth puree with reduced seeds.
  3. Strain the Sauce: Pour the strawberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing gently to remove seeds and achieve a smooth sauce texture, perfect for blending into the tea.
  4. Assemble the Drink: In a glass, combine the chilled jasmine green tea, strained strawberry sauce, and the Yakult bottles. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  5. Serve: Add ice cubes and any preferred toppings such as fresh strawberry slices or mint leaves. Serve immediately for a refreshing and probiotic-rich tea refresher.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor in the sauce.
  • Adjust sugar quantity in the strawberry sauce based on sweetness preference and strawberry ripeness.
  • Chilling the tea beforehand ensures a refreshing cold beverage rather than a warm drink.
  • Straining the sauce removes seeds for a smoother texture in your drink.
  • Optional toppings like fresh fruit, basil, or mint can enhance the presentation and flavor.
